446 Bridges
Pittsburgh has 446 bridges. Really. Smart people actually figured this out.
Of course, you need a lot of bridges when you have three rivers running through your city. Steel City is the confluence of the Allegheny, Ohio, and Monongahela Rivers.
Of course, none of this really has anything to do with vehicle efficiency.
But here's something that does. Exxon posted a $10 BILLION profit for the second quarter of 2007 today.
Hmm, think record high gas prices might have something to do with that?
Do you ever wonder how much of that is from your wallet? I do.
When we filled up on gas today off the Pennsylvania Turnpike, the poor soul that used the pump right before us spent $100!
Think that guy would like his vehicle to go farther on a gallon of gasoline? I do.
